What is the Elite 1000w Electronic Ballast used for?
The Elite 1000w Electronic Ballast converts your indoor grow rooms mains electricity to the perfect current to power a 1000w Lamp. These incredible ballasts help to produce up to 30% more lumens than traditional magnetic ballasts. Likewise, they also use less electricity making them far more energy efficient. Furthermore, you’ll also find they consistently last, making them an ideal investment for professional growers. They’ll not degrade and become noisy over time, like other ballasts on the market.
These ballasts also feature circuit protection which will ensure that your expensive hydroponic equipment doesn’t get damaged if there’s a fault. Similarly, the soft start technology helps to reduce too much currency pushing through your ballast when initially turned on. Instead, this will help to start the ballast and lamp slowly, keeping your grow room safe at all times.
Where should you use the Elite 1000w Electronic Ballast
This ballast is specifically for use with a 1000w DE Bulb. You’ll want to ensure that you have a full set up including reflectors and bulbs in order for your grow room to work efficiently.
How to use the Elite 1000w Electronic Ballast
Start by placing the ballast on a flat surface, we recommend that you do not place it on carpets to avoid the chance of causing a fire. Likewise, you should never cover the ballast either. Then connect the input lead of your reflector to the output lead of the ballast, ensuring that the cable is not pulled too tightly. After that, make sure you place the lamp in tightly to your reflector and connect the mains plug to an electrical socket and switch on. This should then start the ballast and lamp.
