What is the Omega 1000w Digi-Pro Digital Dimmable Ballast used for?
The Omega Digital Ballast is not the same as any ordinary dimmable ballast available on the market. These systems give growers complete versatility and performance from a single lighting system. Likewise, it will run at 1150w (super lumen), 1000w, 600w and 400w settings. The super lumen technology increases ballast output for maximum lamp performance, therefore providing you with the best lighting possible.
Furthermore, these ballasts can be easily adjusted to reduce the output of your lamp when not as much power is needed. So when running a 1000w lamp you can reduce the output to 400w or 600w. Alternatively, increase it to super lumen 1150w to give your plants a healthy boost.
Where can you use the Omega 1000w Digi-Pro Digital Dimmable Ballast?
These digital ballasts are some of the most economical solutions for controlling powerful light sources. This is because they do not create any resistance and produce next to no heat or noise. Not only are they an energy-efficient unit, but they also create a higher PAR output. All ballasts feature a 1-meter mains lead and are easy to position on walls using the wall mount.
How to use the Omega 1000w Digi-Pro Digital Dimmable Ballast
The Omega 1000w digital dimmable ballast runs fairly cool in use, however, you should still place it on a flat surface. To use simply connect the input lead of your reflector to the output lead of the ballast. It is important that you ensure the cable isn’t tight and does not come into contact with anything hot.
In addition, use the power-output switch to select your desired output wattage. Although, be aware that you should use the same wattage ballast for the wattage of your lamp. Therefore a 400w lamp should be powered only by a 400w ballast.
